A sane first month with AI: five low-risk places to start
The businesses that get value from AI rarely start with something ambitious. They start with something boring, prove it works, and build trust from there. Five good first candidates:
1. Summarize your inbox, don't automate it
Before letting AI answer anything, let it read. A daily digest of what came in, what needs a reply, and a suggested draft for each is low-risk and immediately useful — you stay the sender.
2. Turn one service into ten pieces of content
Take the service you most want to sell. Have AI draft a month of posts about it from your own knowledge — your answers to the questions customers actually ask. Edit ruthlessly. Post consistently.
3. Rewrite your five most-visited pages
Not the whole site. Five pages, checked against what people actually search for. This is an afternoon of AI-accelerated work that used to be a week.
4. Mine your reviews
Feed your reviews (and complaints) into an AI and ask what customers repeatedly praise or stumble on. It's the cheapest market research you'll ever do, and it usually rewrites your homepage headline for you.
5. Automate one handoff
Find one place where information gets retyped — form submissions into a spreadsheet, bookings into a calendar, invoices into reminders. Automate exactly that one. Small, visible, done.
None of these requires trusting AI with your customers or your brand voice unsupervised. That trust should be earned in weeks two through four — start where mistakes are cheap. And if you'd rather do this with someone who's already made the mistakes: that's literally our readiness sessions.
